Content design in alpha
In the alpha phase, we develop and refine early versions of the product or service, exploring and testing possible language solutions across user journeys.
What content designers do in alpha
Our content designers:
- design and write content for prototypes based on research and user feedback
- consider all routes that users take into the service, and content touchpoints across all journeys
- collaborate with the UCD and wider delivery team to refine design concepts based on user feedback
- make sure content is consistent with other NHS and GOV services
- make sure content across all journeys is consistent and simple to understand
- work with policy and subject matter experts to understand what information the service must collect or provide
- support user researchers’ preparation for user testing by identifying riskiest assumptions about language and information needs
- help shape information architecture and content patterns within the service
- iterate prototypes based on findings from user research
